
Sara Aliza Eisen, an American television journalist, is currently working with CNBC. She is a co-anchor for the channel's programs 'Squawkon the Street', and Closing Bell'. A native of Ohio native, she was not much attracted to the world of markets and currencies during her time in college. While attending New York University, she did an internship with an online startup called ForexTV.com. This is where she garnered her first experience working with business news. After that, she received an advanced degree in broadcast journalism at Northwestern University's Medill School of Journalism. She then did a four-month-long work experience at Bloomberg TV in Hong Kong. She returned to the United States and began her career in New York at Bloomberg. She became a television anchor later. In December 2013 she was hired by CNBC as the correspondent. After working as co-anchor on "Worldwide Exchange" and Power Lunch', she was hired by CNBC in December 2013. She was then offered the position at Closing Bell in the year 2018. Eisen is co-anchoring "Squawk on The Street" since the year 2014. One of the most prominent business journalists in the world, her main focus is on global consumer stories ever since she joined CNBC.
